SURVEY- Princess fashion (university work).

I have another survey… This ones on princess, floaty, girly fashion that seems to have sprung up for Christmas and yes you guessed it- Spring! I know they are super annoying but I would really appreciate if you could take a minute and fill it out- it’s for uni, thanks so much!!

Red Carpet

Taylor Swift- Zuhair Murad at AAMs

ZuhairMurad has to be one of my favourite red carpet designers and he keeps things sweet with this design worn by Taylor Swift. Many of his red carpet designs are full-length gown, but this beaded mini from his pre- Spring/Summer 2013 collection is just beautiful. Taylor accesorrised is with Neil Lane jewellery and Jimmy Choo sandals- perfect for the glam evening that was the Aniniversary American Music Awards, held in LA.

To the Rome Film Festival premiere of Judge Archer, actress Li Chengyuan wore a Dolce& Gabbana dress. The black lace, baroque design had an air of sexiness with the lace covering and I think the black went great with her pale complexion. She finished her look with classic Mary Jane courts and a baroque, jewelled style headpiece.

Like Taylor Swift, star Ginnifer Goodwin took cute and sweetness to new levels at the American Music Awards. The pale pink pre- Spring/summer 2013 Oscar de la Renta design has shape and texture in a very elegant style. Mixed with silver Jimmy Choo sandals and a Judith Leiber clutch also in silver, the look was elegant and feminine.

Personally, despite liking them I think jumpsuits are hard to wear, and too often worn wrong. Diane Kruger however wore a navy blue Jason Wu spring/summer 2013 one and looked stunning. To attend the Jaeger-LeCoultre Place Vendome boutique opening in Paris, she let the jumpsuit do the talking wearing minimalist black sandals and carrying a little, gold box clutch.

Kate Moss wore Yves Saint Laurent spring/summer 2013 collection for the book signing of: The Kate Moss Book at Colette in Paris. I love the tassel necklace with the black, chffon shirt. I think the supermodel looks glowing, happy and healthy here- it’s good to see!

Designer Pudsey... CHILDREN IN NEED 2012

So, Children in Need doesn’t ever shy away from glamour- many celebs get behind in a mist of sequins, sparkles and spectacles. This year though, it’s upped its glamour game with designer couturiers designing their very own Pudsey bear to be auctioned for the charity. Of course, a wonderful cause and some very unique designs.

New coat

I must admit not really being a fan of winter, I don't espicially love coats. They can just be such a pain and quite honestly hide your outfit.

However, I did find a lovely little jacket for this winter. For me, it's perfect being warm, fashionable and being a jacket hides less of your outfit. The Barber style jacket in khaki has a checked hood, handy pockets and is suprisingly warm.

All I can say, is thank you Dorothy Perkins.

HELP!!! Judgement of wealth experiences...

My latest university project is ‘FEATURES’ and seeing as recently I’ce spent a lot of time in Chelsea, London I will be basing my piece on there. Looking into the level of judgement and customer service from the premium designer’s houses of Kings Road. In particular the feature will look into the security guard doormen.

Please let me know if you’ve experienced any judgement when walking into shops like these whatever your level of wealth (whether it will be good customer service or because you are young bad due to the misconceived idea that you do not ‘have the required wealth to shop there.’ Comment below, tweet me (@emilyholmess) or email me: emily.holmes@hotmail.co.uk

I will upload the finished article when it has been completed, but thank you for your support….

New Hair: Middle Parting and rollers

Pink hair- I can literally say I have been there, done that. But with the winter being upon us, I wanted something new.

The underneath of my hair was bleached from where I had the pink, but I quite liked the colour so I decided to add in a few more highlights and lighten my hair. A quick trim, few more layers and a new middle parting my look was complete.

Middle partings and rollers seem to be a popular Essex trend. I tested out my Mum’s old heated rollers- after blowing off the dust I love them! Rollers are by far the must-have hair style for this season and make curls so easy.

Try the sleep-in-rollers (velcro rollers- that squeeze when you lay down).
Try Babyliss heated rollers (these are what i've used just older ones).

Miranda Kerr- Victoria Beckham

Last week, she walked in the Victoria Secret’s show, this week the streets of New York are Miranda Kerr’s runway. The supermodel wore a white Victoria Beckham dress cinched in at the waist with a belt.

She wore the dress with Miu Miu sunnies, Lanvin pointy shoes and that cute little, baby blue Prada bag. Absolutely perfect- I just wish I could breeze around the streets of New York city looking like that!

Gemma Arterton- Marios Schwab

For the PeaceEarth Foundation dinner in London, Gemma Arterton wore a beautiful design from Marios Schwab pre Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

Ironically the former Bond girl chose the very dress Naomie Harris wore to the latest bond film premiere: Skyfall. The dress- a glittery slip, leotard with a lace covering highlights both women's perfect figures.

Jessica Szohr- GQ Men of the Year Awards 2012

Gossip Girl star, Jessica Szohr attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards where she showed off her enviable, tanned pins in high-waisted black shorts teamed with a gorgeous printed shirt and peep toe shoes.

Not the most obvious choice for an awards ceremony (a gown being that of course) but it works well- I love the collar on this and style of the shirt.

Ashley Greene- Donna Karan

The stars of The Twilight Saga are hotting up the red carpet and resisting the urge to vamp the style up.

Like Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene chose girly, romanticism for the LA premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 2 in a blush, pink, Chiffon gown with sweetheart neckline. The Donna Karan dress with a one-shoulder had a textured style very fitting with the character Ashley plays in the film.

Kristen Stewart in Zuhair Murad LA Premiere of Breaking Dawn- Part 2

Zuhair Murad creates the most beautiful red carpet dresses. Blake Lively, Katy Perry and Jennifer Lopez are fine examples of this and most recently Kristen Stewart.

To the LA premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 2 she wore a strapless, sheer gold and lace dress. The muted shade of gold suited her pale complexion and the fitted style showed off her great figure. The actress is known for her more casual style preferring her converse but this dress was a winner- definite red carpet envy with this one!

Victoria's Secret

So it’s safe to say we probably all have serious face and body envy of all the Victoria’s Secret models.

Masses of colours, dazzling sequins, tonnes of crystals, 28 pairs of wings and 65 looks. November 7, the 17th annual show saw the Angels take to the catwalk to themes of circus and danger. The show in New York, not only showed off the toned bodies of the models but singers Rihanna, Justin Bieber an Bruno Mas performed live.

Dolce & Gabbana shop window- Kings Road, Chelsea

Walking down Chelsea last week Dolce & Gabbana’s shop window was amazing. So unique and very fitting with the style and theme of the current collection. The baroque style window, complete with bird cages of the shoes and that just gorgeous ruffle dress in pure white.

I apologise for my reflection in the window.

Kate Moss... 'EXPRESS YOURSELF' - Vogue October 2008

Supermodel Kate Moss has done many stunning photo shoots in her time, but one of my all-time favourites has to be her ‘Express Yourself’ October 2008.

The military, regal tone to the images reflects how highly respected the model is. The shoot also, with the catchphrase ‘hope and glory’ has an optimistic, hopeful feel about it. The patriotic theme runs through with the union jack flag trousers, jackets and leather jacket- punking up the girly looks. And despite, being released way back in 2008 I still love it…
