Fearne Cotton: steering clear of "elasticated waists"

Known as a style icon to many, the yummy-mummy-to-be Fearne Cotton hasn’t shied away from work during the pregnancy of her first child with Jesse Woods. The radio 1 DJ’s new autumn, winter collection for Very is available now.

  

Fearne has always had a refreshing, unique style and that hasn’t changed now she’s expecting: “I’m going for a lot of dresses at the moment, as they’re comfy and I want to stay away from elasticated waists.” Hooray!!!

 

In a recent interview, she admitted fellow DJ’s Annie Mac and Gemma Cairney are her style icons. To be honest I think, Fearne’s fashion style has always been to achieve the trends with a twist and not being too mainstream.

Mari tote bag... Accessorize

You know the saying… a girl can never have too many shoes and handbags? Well I hope that’s true; especially seeing as I have somehow managed to buy a few pairs of shoes, boots and bags recently.

I brought a beautiful over-sized tan bag from Accessorize. I did worry initially it was too big but then it’s actually the perfect size for university- with notepads and all my usual junk in it. Being winter as well I wondered if a darker bag would be more suitable. Yet, its brightens a winter wardrobe and it’s beautiful it was too hard to resist.

 

 

The well-made bag has an optional cross-body shoulder strap as well; with similarities to the Birkin bag and the new DKNY tote bags.

And to be honest for such a high-quality bag it’s an absolute bargain- £38 from Accessorize.

Valentino releases sketch of Anne Hathway's bridal gown

On October 2 designer Valentino released a sketch of the wedding dress custom made for actress Anne Hathway. As a sketch its absolutely beautiful, I’m sure in reality it’s even more breath-taking.

"Anne's gown is a strapless ivory silk point d'esprit tulle dress, which included a beautiful pink hand-painted shaded train and embroidered with satin flowers…. The veil, reminiscent of the Twenties, consists of a lace ribbon with a large flower adorned with small crystal beads."

So I know I’m a bit later than I normally am with this but here’s the famous fashion history for October:

October wish-list

October… 2013 is getting closer and closer. To be honest I can’t quite believe we are in October- summer is over, I’m back to my second year of uni (and that’s scary enough) my little baby nephew isn’t such a baby anymore as he turns three this month and too many Christmas adverts are being plastered across the TV screens for my likening.

My wish-list for this month will probably stay with me just dreaming about it- I’ve already spent way too much in the past month on clothes and shoes:
