Spring/ Summer 2012 Advertising Campaigns

Mulberry’s latest Spring/Summer 2012 advertising campaigns take sweet to a whole new level. With the shoot set as a day of frolicking and fun at the seaside, the pastel colours of the collection match well with the pattern of ‘Brighton rock’ or the classic seaside ice-cream. Photographer Tim Walker captured the fun factor for Mulberry’s mainline with the models Frida Gustavsson and Lindsey Wixson.

 

Fendi’s mainline adverts have the look of the famous ‘le Smoking’ adverts from Yves saint Laurent. The image edited into a black and white copy was photographed by Chanel’s Head Designer legend Karl Lagerfeld. The advert features model Arizona Muse posing with a Fendi handbag as onlookers watch her in a dark, night street scene.

Finally the Roberto Cavalli advert brings three of the most successful supermodels: Naomi Campbell, Kristen McMenamy and Karen Elson with the up-and-coming star Daphne Groeneveld. The glamorous shoot mirrors the glamour of the collection. These campaigns work so well, with the model interaction and also that there is similarity between all four dresses but the air of Cavalli’s individuality as a label.
