Brit Awards 2013

Held on February 20, The Brits 2013 recognised superb musical talent from the likes of Emeli Sande, Ben Howard, Adele and Lana del Ray, but also saw some pretty amazing outfits too. Of course that's what I was looking at anyway (as well as admiring Justin Timberlake).

In a black Elie Saab gown, with high thigh slits Taylor Swift showed she's not always the sweet, Disney princess, but sexy minx too. She teamed the gold belted design that had chiffon shoulders with black strappy sandals and gold bangle and kept her gold locks simple too.

 

Of course the One Direction boys looked smart in their way with a mix of Alexander McQueen, Burbery, Topman, ASOS and Kurt Geiger. To be honest, I like that they mix high-street with high-end; I think sometimes by doing that it makes a loo more aspirational.

Aluna Francis looked stunning in a Theyskens' Theory sequin dress. I love how the despite the design being floor-length and long-sleeved maintains the modesty whilst having the transparent see-throughness.

 

Rita Ora changed to a black sequin floor length number for the Universal after-party. And just look at that slit, it's not even a thigh one- it seems to go more to her hip! But the train detail is a really cool idea to one side and worn with Cartier jewellery looks lovely.
